Hannam University Korean Language Institute is an educational institution that conducts Korean language and culture education. The Korean Language Institute is promoting education for students to exchange and study together, training for students to transfer to university and graduate school, and training to help students learn about Korean history and experience Korean culture in a rich way.
Hannam University Korean Language Institute was established in 2002 under the name of Korean Language Center, initially training Korean language and culture under the foundation of Hannam University Korean Studies Program since 1985, and in 2016 was renamed Korean Language Institute. Coming to the Korean Language Institute, students not only receive solid Korean language training but also experience many diverse activities and exchanges with students from all over the world.

Study time: A semester consists of 10 weeks with a total time of 200 hours. 5 sessions a week from Monday to Thursday, each session is 4 hours. Classes will take place from 9am to 1pm. Curriculum: There are 3 levels divided according to students’ abilities from elementary (grades 1~2), intermediate (grades 3~4) to advanced (grades 5 and above)
2.4. Programs to enhance support for international students.
Learning support: This is a program in which students of the Korean Language Institute are assisted in learning Korean by Korean university students studying at the school. Through this program, students can make friends with Koreans and practice their Korean.
Cultural Experience: This program is held every semester and is a program where students of the Korean Language Institute can experience modern and traditional Korean culture. Students can visit museums, famous tourist attractions, experience wearing Hanbok, and make pottery. This is also an opportunity to connect and build relationships with friends and teachers in the class.
Special Class: Through the special Korean language class, we provide special Korean language lectures that are useful for career exploration and support students who intend to major.
By suggesting different paths and careers to students, helping them find a major that suits their talents and prepare them for college life.
To help students easily integrate and succeed in university life, the school supports programs related to university life and how to build relationships.
Mastertopic class :Through systematic Topik exam preparation lectures, it helps to increase the Topik passing rate for students. Improve the Korean proficiency of students, university students and graduates. Increase efficiency with Topik scholarships for students when participating in studying and taking the Topik certified exam. The condition for university is Topik 3~4, so students who intend to major in the subject are encouraged to participate in studying early.

2.5. Scholarships
Based on the final results of each class at the end of the semester, you will receive 150,000 won/100,000 won/50,000 won for the first/second/third place. In the case of exchange students, the spring and fall semesters are not counted because tuition is already exempted. For the distance Korean language course program, based on the final results at the end of the semester, the registration fee is exempted and the tuition fee is 50% off for the first semester of the regular Korean language course program.

3.1. Educational objectives:

Korean language requirement
Korean is the native language of Korea. Therefore, if you intend to take courses taught in Korean, Hannam University will require you to submit TOPIK for proficiency or fluency in this language.
