The Faculty of Global Industrial Engineering is a faculty specializing in training international students with the goal of helping students find jobs at large enterprises (granted E7 visas). Committed to 100% student employment after graduation.

 

 

I. Introduction to Global Industrial Engineering

  • Shipyards, shipbuilding companies, hull manufacturing companies
  • Steel and metal manufacturing plants, sheet metal processing companies
  • Industrial equipment companies, chassis manufacturing companies, steel welding companies, tank manufacturing companies, painting companies and general steel structure companies.

  • Painting Field: Ship Painting Technician, Construction Painting Technician, Metal Painting Technician

 

II. Educational goals

2.1 Practical training of talents on site

Focusing on basic subjects and practical training programs that meet real needs, contributing to the development of the Industrial Engineering field – the core element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The program aims to train competent professionals in fields such as welding, painting, mechanics, piping, electricity, shipbuilding, industrial equipment and many other specialized fields.

  • Basic technical training in line with modern Industrial Engineering: Providing a foundation of basic knowledge in the fields of industrial engineering in line with future industrial trends.
  • Intensive practical training in welding types: Including electric welding, CO2 welding, Argon welding, Tig welding, spot welding and other detailed welding fields.
  • Technical training aligned with industry cooperation: Providing the skills needed to work in the fields of shipbuilding and metal fabrication, through cooperation with real manufacturers.
  • Enhanced Specialization: Through in-depth learning of Industrial Engineering related techniques required for field work.
  • Broad understanding of industrial equipment and management industries: Provides a broad understanding of the industries related to industrial equipment and management.

Industry Visa Program

  • E-7 Visa (Special Activities)
    • Visa Introduction: The E-7 Visa for Special Skilled Worker is a visa issued to international students that allows them to work at public and private institutions in Korea under contracts designated by the Ministry of Justice.
    • Visa types: E-7-3 (General Skilled Worker), E-7-4 (Highly Skilled Worker – based on points)
    • Fields of work: Welders in shipbuilding, marine electricians, marine painters, highly skilled workers in key industries, highly skilled human resources in agriculture, forestry, livestock and fisheries, general manufacturing and construction companies.
    • Visa benefits:

Duration of stay is 3 years for each issuance.

If you stay in Korea for 5 years or more and meet the conditions, you can apply for an F-2 (Residence Visa) or F-5 (Settlement Visa).

③ Can invite relatives and spouse to Korea.

Regional Visa Program

  • F-2-R (Immigrant Visa for Outstanding Talent in a Special Area)
    • Visa Introduction: This settlement visa is issued to outstanding international students to counteract population decline and boost the local economy. The visa requires the holder to settle and work for a specified period of time in a designated area.
    • Areas of work available: Local industries designated under the Regional Visa Program.
    • Visa benefits:

Duration of stay is 1 year for each issuance, maximum 5 years.

If you stay in Korea for 5 years or more and meet the conditions, you can apply for an F-5 visa (Residence Visa).

③ Can invite relatives and spouse to Korea.

 

IV. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Object:

  • Overseas citizens and foreigners
  • Those who have completed the entire elementary and secondary education program equivalent to that in Korea abroad (Article 7) – Overseas citizens, foreigners, and those who have been granted nationality under Article 6, Clause 2 of the Nationality Act (including marriage immigrants)

Education requirements (College degree):

  • Admission requirements for those who have completed the entire educational program.
  • For those who have completed the entire program at at least 2 foreign schools with different education systems
    • A person who has completed the entire program at at least 2 foreign schools with different education systems.
    • However, in the case of a person who has completed at least 12 years of primary and secondary education in at least 2 countries and there are differences in the education systems between these countries, the entire study period may be accepted as an exception if the deficiency does not exceed 1 semester (6 months). This case will be considered especially if the education system of that country allows for class transfer or early graduation according to the provisions of the education law (class transfer during the transfer process is not accepted).

 

Foreign citizenship is one of the requirements when studying at Seojeong University.
