JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a WordPress/Shopify Developer to work directly with our in-house team. This is a full-time job, you will be responsible for developing and designing frontend web architecture, building and customizing websites (e-commerce CMS), WordPress/Shopify themes and plugins, ensuring application responsiveness, technology integration, and other tasks.
- Professional English written and spoken communication skills. Passionate about Frontend development (HTML/CSS/JS/Liquid).
- Strong experience in JavaScript.
- Expert in CSS frameworks (Twitter Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS/Foundation). Attention to detail especially in frontend.
- Experience working in an agency, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- UI experience is required, using Figma is preferred.
- SEO experience is a big plus.
- Ability to develop custom plugins and themes using WordPress API, complying with WordPress coding standards (W3C).
- Experience with Theme Options (Customizer & Builder).
- Understanding of Shopify & WordPress actions, hooks, custom queries, and meta-fields to extend theme functionality.
- Ability to troubleshoot browser and platform compatibility issues (Windows/Mac/iOS/Android).
- Deep understanding of the WordPress/Shopify ecosystem and standard e-commerce functionality.
- Up-to-date with developments in web applications and programming languages (PHP, Liquid & React).
- Experience working with WooCommerce is required.
- W3C validated source code writing skills.
- Experience with React and Headless CMS applications is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Assess and analyze websites (WordPress/Shopify) and areas for improvement and optimization.
- Deep understanding and proficiency in frontend UI (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Develop custom web applications from scratch in WordPress and Shopify.
- Work with frontends developed in JavaScript.
- Develop custom functionality (plugins/extensions) as needed.
- Website backup and version control management (GitHub).
- Develop and manage custom e-commerce features.
- Execute projects from concept to final product, requiring organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Create intuitive, easy-to-use and practical user interfaces.
- Create website architecture and support the team in selecting design and development templates.
- Design and manage website backends, including database and server integration.
- Implement functionality and design, integrate with related services and workflows.
- Work directly with product teams and clients to deliver the best results.

- Salary: $2800 – $3000 AUD/month.
